It’s the month of Encounters and we’re working together with the ‘sexperts’ at The V Spot – an educational space dedicated to everything womanhood. To create our first women-centric sharing circle on sexual wellness, we’ve enlisted sex-positive Doctor Jess from Insync Medical, and wellness companies The Hedonist and Smile Makers, for an evening of empowering, positive conversations around pleasure. The event is happening on 19 February 2022, at 4 pm. Let us know what you want to talk about beforehand by leaving us a response here.

And while we’re on the topic of pleasure… want to know the secret to good sex?

To some, it might be about mind-blowing orgasms, while to others, it might be emotional chemistry.

Truth is, good sex is relative to our sexual preferences, on-the-spot desires, experience in bed, and so much more. Here’s what the experts are saying:

This is the appetiser to the main course, to get your blood pumping and endorphins flowing. In fact, this can be all someone needs to reach an orgasm.

Sex can lose its zing over time. To keep things exciting, couples can switch things up every now and then. An example would be to have sex at different times of the day, or create a special event out of it.

Being adventurous can add an element of surprise or thrill. It is best to be open about your boundaries and work out a list of to-try’s with your partner. Play around with sex toys, feed into your fantasies, and explore more of your kinks.

When you’re not worrying about how you look, how you sound, or whether you are doing the right things, sex will become more enjoyable. Be present in the moment and let the mood flow.
