In conversation with Mark Webber

In conversation with Mark Webber
Mark Webber, Formula 1 race legend

This past F1 race weekend Mark Webber, nine-time winning Formula 1 racing legend, shared his thoughts on the cut-throat world of Formula 1. The intimate discussion involving just 80 Mandala Club members was moderated by Tom Wright, Club member, journalist and co-author of New York Times bestseller ‘Billion Dollar Whale’.

Guests gained insight into Webber’s illustrious career from over twenty years in international racing. The former Formula 1 driver shared the challenges he faced from navigating family-life with a high-risk career to learning to adapt to the dynamic nature of the sport with its ever-changing regulations. Drawing focus to the race night on Sunday, Webber also delved into the intense conditions drivers are subject to competing in Singapore’s Formula 1 night race.

Throughout the conversation, Webber’s humble demeanour and sense of humour bridged the gap between audience and speaker to create a meaningful connection. The talk concluded with Webber and the Porsche team joining members and their invited guests for a delicious Lunch at POPI’s. We can attest to the fact that there is no better way to get to know someone than to break bread with them!

If you did not get to meet Webber in person at the club this past race weekend, the video (coming soon) and pictures below sum up the once in a lifetime experience.

Thank you Porsche Singapore for the images.
