Introducing the newest addition to the Mandala Club team, Elliot Faber, a famed Sake Samurai, leading our beverage programme at the newly launched MORI.
With over 10 years of experience, Elliot is the founding Beverage Director for Michelin-starred Yardbird Hong Kong, RŌNIN, Hong Kong-based import company Sunday’s distribution, and Japan-based export company The Kura Collective.
With an entrepreneurial spirit, Elliot constantly seeks out opportunities to venture into. From multifunctional retail spaces to restaurants and bars, he is involved in a number of businesses that are centered around Japanese culture.
Other than his business ventures, Elliot is also a Decanter Magazine Wine Judge, IWC Sake Judge, WSET Educator for Sake and Wine, a Certified Sommelier, and an Advanced Sake Professional, where he consults as Senior Whisky Advisor to Zachys Wine Auctions. In October 2016, Elliot received the award of 'Sake Samurai' from the Japan Sake Brewers Association Junior Council, an honor that few people have received since its inception in 2005.
